Reading Grade Policy: There are four categories. The first category is formative whole group, meaning classwork done with grade level text. This is worth 30%. The second category is summative whole group, meaning assessments done with grade level text. This is worth 30%. The third category is formative guided, meaning classwork done with text on your child's instructional reading level. This is worth 20%. The last category is summative guided, meaning assessments done with text on your child's instructional reading level. This is worth 20%.

Late Assignments: Students may turn in an assignment past the deadline for partial credit. Students will be give a grace period of 48 hours past the deadline during Term 1. In Term 2, the grace period will be reduced to 24 hours past the deadline. If an assignment is turned in later than this grace period, a 25% deduction in the score may take place. Certain circumstances will be considered on an individual basis if communication takes place in advance.
