I graduated from Frostburg State University in 2014 with a degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. I am currently in my second year of working towards a Masters degree in Reading at Salisbury University. This is my fifth year teaching at Glen Avenue Elementary School. I am a part of team TIMSAH. Go turtles! The core values in my classroom are respect, honesty, responsibility, creativity, and teamwork.
Parenting and teaching go hand in hand. To separate them is to do a disservice to the children. This is why I believe it is important to have open lines of communication between home and school on a regular basis. Parents and family members are not only welcome, but encouraged, to participate in lessons and activities when possible.
I am a teacher, parent, and student. My passions include learning, educating, debating, cooking, reading, and writing. In this class, we will use art, music, and movement to stay engaged and to help our brain absorb more of what we are learning. Family values are important in this classroom. We support each other unconditionally.
I look forward to the opportunity to teach your child and help him/her achieve his/her goals!
